Does anyone else "play it straight"? To put it differently, play without TTing or anything; just letting the clock run normally and taking whatever comes your way? To be clear I am not knocking people who do that, it's just that I like playing it without doing that.

I did that for a long time, and I"m trying to mostly do that now that I have my dream villagers. It's very hard to get villagers out that you hate and get dream villagers in, at least in a large amount, without TT-ing, so I TT-d a lot to try to do that… but now I'm trying hard not to TT very much.

For a while I would TT to get to 11am so I could talk to all my villages and all the shops were open, since the time I can play is like 7 am… almost no one is awake in the game and no shops are open! I have to do errands IRL and stuff later in the day, I don't have time to just take what the game gives me entirely.

but I'm trying hard not to TT just to get trees and PWPs done. haha.

Anyway, I think in some ways, the game will last longer and be "worth more" to you when you accomplish something when you try not to TT very much.

I used to in WW because I didn't even know TTing existed. xD

And around release I did as well, but I still TTed a little. Now I'm just all out and don't give any ****s anymore lol

I play this way too! I like doing a little bit at a time. I've only ever TT'd to speed up getting out villagers for other people.

I don't time travel, it just seems more complicated than I want and I kind of like the anticipation that happens with normal play.

If I TT even a couple of hours I feel like I've contaminated my town and end up resetting.
I've no idea why.

I TT'd in the GC version, found it ruined it for me and got bored lol
So yea, I just let the clock run.

I kinda wish I TT'd around and gathered all the zodiac stuff on my second copy, but now I've got villagers I like so that's a no-go.

In my 2 real towns I've only TT a couple of times. Once was for the trees that I just planted. I was worried because of all the problems in the older game.
Another was just on April Fool's Day. Villager wouldn't stop talking about someone moving and the event was over till midnight.
My game is 4 hours behind so I can play it at night and not miss stuff. I would have been up till 4am so I jumped an hour ahead and stopped the move. Started the game back up the next day and put the clock back.

I do TT in my perfect fruit harvest towns. One day I'll shake the trees and replace dead trees. The next day I'll go back and pick up the fruit. If I have time I TT a few days ahead and than start shaking the trees. Those towns don't have any big retail. I never buy anything from the store.

I usually play a few days in my game, but I never TT more then 1 day ahead. I find I get bored without TT'ing, I couldn't resist.

I play the game straight through because TTing is confusing and risky. I enjoy playing it like that because the excitement lasts longer and I can still accomplish a lot of stuff. I've just never really been interested in time travel- I didn't even do it when I played WW.

I play as straight as I can. I've only TT'ed on rare occasions, no more than an hour at a time, such as when I was on the island and missed paying off my loan and starting the next one by minutes. ._.

I time travel, but not great distances. I do it so I can catch bugs without having to stay up that late playing, so I can order things to sell people, and if I mess up and miss something on a special event. I don't travel more than a day or two, though.

My boyfriend plays like that he really doesn't time travel at all. He missed the festivale by one day and he still wouldn't time travel.

I admire those who don't time travel because wow you guys must have it together!

I try not to time travel too much but I do it like if something closes etc

I don't bc my 3ds isn't available to me often and I can tt back a week and get a weeks worth of playing done in a day.

I used to play that way D: Until I started missing events like Thanksgiving/Christmas due to school/events and what not. xD I know if I say 'I'll wait til next year!" I'll probably miss them again for the same reason.. ;_; Idk. I think once summer starts up I'll put my game time back on track 8D

I play without TTing either. I don't have a problem with TTing, it's just my days are pretty busy and playing a little each day works perfectly for me.
Getting that PWP request I want or an unwanted villager pinging to move is the greatest feeling.
I have TTd back sometimes if I'm busy and miss an event, or if I miss a few days (very rare).
It does take a lot of patience though and since I've been playing for over a year and don't really have much to do in the game anymore, I have considered TTing through days to get unwanted villagers out quicker. But then I wouldn't be able to play those days in the morning like I usually do so I don't know if I'll actually do it.
