I haven't played AC:NL for about a month, and want to start back in.

I don't remember the exact date I stopped playing, and would rather not TT back, but there are a couple of villagers I don't want to lose.

If I open the game and play at what ever date it shows, and then one of my favourites are gone, can I close without saving and then TT back to try to save them, or would that not work?

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

if you want to use that method, then you should start up the game with a new character and quit the game without saving if one of your favorites have moved. if you discover one of your villagers have moved playing as mayor/an old character, it's too late.

This, unless you planned in advance and did the stop a villager and quit method, but that's usually only if you have prepared in advance.

You can check the last day you played ACNL in your activity log, just TT back to that date if you want to be 100% sure no one's moved.
If you start your game on the current date on any existing character and a villager has moved, even if you TT back that villager will still be gone.

ok, I think I'll find the last day I played and start over from there, just to be safe.

thank you everyone!

If you want to take another break from playing in the future. Stop playing on the day you talk someone out of moving. No one else will get the chance to want to move until the game is started again.

Haha, this really makes me wish that I'd been a part of this forums before I picked ACNL up again after about a six month break. I lost two villagers that I really liked and it was very distressing.

Good luck with getting back into it, though! I hope it all works out so you don't end up losing any of your villagers.

Oooh, that's interesting. I didn't even think of that. I'll definitely have to keep this in mind in case I give up playing again for awhile (likely when new games come out that I'll be otherwise engrossed in). I'd rather not lose any of the villagers that I have now, if I can help it. That's a really great tip, thanks!
