Play coins

Just wondering about the play coins? I know its gone up the more friends I have, but do they restock the next day or something? I know you buy the fortune cookies but just wondering if they get restock or if its 'once its gone its gone' type thing?

you can get more play coins by walking while 3ds is in the home menu and in sleep mode, or if youre lazy like me you can gently shake it, also you can only get 10 play coins a day
