Planting trees

I am making my orchard now and know the trees need some space between each other, but I heard there is also a limit to how many trees you can plant in a row.

What is the max number for trees in a row?

I don’t believe that is the case in ACNH. If one tree has stunted growth because there are lots of other trees around you can dig it up and move it elsewhere, then replant it in the original spot you wanted once it’s full grown.

I have just had friends making perfect space between their trees, but then had trees in their rows not growing.
