Absolutely tragic, may he rest in peace. As far as the case goes I cannot make a judgement call based on how little there is to go on, but I remember watching this on the news (I live in SF) and all the kids are talking about it. One thing I do know is that I am going to be keeping up with it.

I think we're overlooking a really important detail,

There's a superintendent named 'Chris Funk' and that is a really, really cool name.

Imagine the novelty variations he could have had if he chose a different profession:
- Dr.Funk
- Sargent Funk
- Professor Funk
- Officer Funk
- Detective Funk

I was thinking this. It's quite obviously not an accident. Even if he did jump over a fence, barbed wire and slip by alarms to go hang out by the pool, I really doubt he accidentally tied weights to himself and stumbled into the pool...


It was either a murder or a suicide. Why suicide there? Well, I dunno, maybe he just wanted to make sure somebody found his body for some reason. Who knows?

There's really not enough information to say if it was either one or the other though.

Whoa. I probably live within 15 minutes of there and I haven't heard about this. I'm assuming it wasn't a suicide because the tarp was covering the pool, so someone must've covered it up after he was in the pool, right?

Very sad, though.

That would be so traumatic to find. Drowning victims look horrific. I can't tell what it was from the information provided. But it sounds like a murder dump. Was he even alive before being in the pool? I guess we'll find out.
