picked up a villager from my own void. fail.

I have 2 3DS, and without really thinking, I had my mayor from Luferna visit Pyrena for an exchange...which ended up dropping Broffina off in Pyrena. I had 9 villagers in Pyrena (see signature), the 10th unwanted villager had JUST moved out a few days ago, and Genji was going to be my final 10th villager. Now I gotta let go of someone in order to get Broffina out...fortunately, I wasn't terribly attached to Phoebe.

I do have a back-up save from 2 weeks ago on my powersave, but I've done so much landscaping in between then and now that it's just not even worth using it...

So now I have to pick a new uchi villager for Pyrena (tie between deirdre and tammy)...plus still get Genji...plus move both Phoebe AND Broffina out...

Anyone else ever screwed up their own town and created double work for themselves on accident?

I have villagers move from one of my towns to the other all the time. That's because I'm the only person I play with. LOL

I only have one 3ds so i wouldn't be able to accidentally give myself a voided villager but that sucks. good luck w getting them to move out tho!!

My voided villagers sometimes end up in my cycle town after I've picked up a villager from there.
I did had a void move into a very short live town I had late last year from my cycle town.

Sometimes it's a good thing! I had Bones in a town that I wanted to delete and I love Bones, so I got him to move into Pripyat.

Uggggh I've done that. Chenille is now filled with all of Solstice's unwanted outcasts. I'm seriously thinking about resetting it so I don't have to go through the trouble of moving them all out AGAIN.

I did the same thing, move villagers between 2 DS and when I realize I've just possibly dumped from my void, I just try to get someone else to move in before the next day's plot of the unwanted villager arrives by inviting someone from my campsite if I like them, or picking up from a move-away somewhere else. That's how I got Flurry!

I did that a couple of days ago. Annalisa has just moved into my main town after I accidentally picked her up from my cycling town void. I was planning on hunting for a dreamie but noooo Annalisa had to take the tenth spot! I don't even like the anteaters, ugh.

I've also just had a villager jump from my main town void into my cycling town but that doesn't bother me, though I guess I feel a little bad that she's now been voided for the second time... XD

I only have one 3DS so I never give myself my own villagers, although I do use my sisters. But I always make sure I have 10 villagers before I invite her over.

I only have 1 DS but I trade with people all the time so if I'm at 9 villagers I just keep my date the same till I adopt a new villager - I've had a random move in from a trade before, luckily I didn't mind the villager

That's happened to me too xD ugh. Apple moved to my town, stayed for 3 months, moved to my other town, then came back and stayed for 6 months even with time traveling to try and get her out. Everyone in my town at the time asked about moving before she finally did. It was awful xD And of course, she had to be right behind my mayor's house.

The same thing happened to me the other day - I visited one of my towns from another (I have two 3DSes) and even though my void was supposedly clear, I had Rhonda move in the next day and I was really angry. I was so mad too because my void was supposed to be clear and Rhonda should have been long gone, but nope. There she was, ruining my town and my life.

I also have 2 3ds's and im currently scared about that happening! One time though it actually worked out in my favour, Lolly was moving out of my old town and i wanted to pick her up, but the wifi refused to work, and at the time i didn't realize i could just reset the time... Turns out she showed up in my new town the next day because i visited my other town a few days earlier, in a perfect spot too.

My daughter and I have done that before. Badly was my receiving her Robin who then refused to leave for months. Happily was when she lost the Coco I had given her and I was able to pick her up from her void and when I lost Stitches and she picked him up from my void. Now when a villager we don't want leaves any of our towns, we immediately clear the void so we don't accidentally pass them back and forth or foist them on an unsuspecting trader.
