So, after working with Photoshop since I was like a freshman in high school, you'd think I'd have a better handle on it than I do.

I've been working on a character turnaround drawing in Photoshop. The dimensions are 5037 pixels by 2465 pixels, with the resolution of 300 pixels/inch.

But for some reason, the image is kinda' blurry when I view it at 100% magnification, no matter what I do. I'm using what I've always thought to be the sharpest, cleanest photoshop default brush. What's going on here, does anybody know?

Are my dimensions too small or something? Should I change the pixels-per-inch? I don't understand why it isn't just a sharp clear image.

When I zoom in a bit, I do notice that it gets a little clearer.

But what can I do to stop all this nonsense? I'll attach the picture link here so you cats can see what I'm talking about. I've done a ton of photoshop work before and never had this problem, but I recently had to re-download it and maybe something I set up in the preferences back in the day isn't saved anymore, and I'm just not remembering what I did. I promise I'm not completely brain dead.

Can somebody clear this up for me (no pun intended)? Thanks very much!
