Photo Hunt ULTRA MEGA Frustrations! OMG!

Pashmina won't give me her photo!

Ok I know it's random. I know it takes time. Still, if your hear. Then listen to me whine for a couple minutes with very valid frustrations.

Ok, see Pashmina is one of the first two villagers you get. She has been with me since the start. I have talked and gifted her stuff, so much. Yet no photo. I have her maxed friendship points, yet still no photo. Whitney who is who I got maybe 3 weeks ago (time traveler time) just gave me her photo. Still my oldest villager won't give me her photo. I am so sad and frustrated.

I got photos from a few villagers but she is holding out on me. ARGH!!!!

Just want to... just....

Ok, got to calm down. It's not worth getting this upset over. Still it's so frustrating.


So, if you read this far. Who have you been trying to get a photo for? Have they been holding out on you for a long time or are you just starting?

Just started really focusing on getting Villagers photos but I've already gotten Marshal's! So 10% of the way there XD

I've actually been considering TTing in order to get their photos quicker but it seems like it would be so time consuming, since I would have to go search for them every time!
I've heard that getting their photo is random even if your friendship is maxed out so that could be why

I have Pashmina since the beginning too and still no photo (neither from her nor from anyone else). However I only discovered that friendship guide a while ago, so it's now I'm focusing more on trying to get max friendship with my villagers. I hope to get some photos soon, but since changes are so small I don't have many expectations lol

Or she may be even longer. Like my Pashmina. I have been doing all my villagers at the same time. Once I get a photo, I stop giving them gifts. To save on materials. I still talk to them every day to get points that way, but no need to continue with the gifts. Still, I have been getting so many younger villagers over her.

I kept trying to get Reneigh’s and wanted to move her out because of her starter house. I gave up and found Pashmina to replace her for a while.

I think even at max friendship it's still only like a 10% chance you'll get a photo so pray to the RNG gods, I guess... I have several villagers at close to or max friendship and they won't give me photos or the high friendship reactions, but they still ask to leave all the flippin time :/

What I did after a while was once I knew a villager was at a high enough level, I would give them a high cost item and reset the game if they didn't give me their photo. I did this with Bob since I was going to give him to a friend very soon.

It was frustrating at first, but I managed to get 5 out 9 pictures after giving my villagers wrapped non native fruits everyday. It helped a lot, but now I’m thinking of giving diy wall lamps so I don’t have to wait for the fruit trees to grow.

I'm trying to get the villager photos of all my residents atm, but I'm mostly focused on getting the villager photos of the ones I'm letting go asap so that I could invite my other dreamies to my island, so the 5 are Pashmina, Bam, Flora, Drake & Ed, so I'm constantly giving them wrapped hanging terrarium for extra friendship points so that I could get their villager photos fast...

as for the other 4, Audie, Lucky, Chief & Diana, I'm only giving them wrapped foreign fruits as I don't need their villager photos yet anyways as they are my permanent resident plus wanna save my materials lol my other permanent resident is Lolly, but I'm giving her Ironwood furnitures since she has a starter house and it's boring so she's also getting extra friendship points because of that lol...

If you're a little desperate, you could save scum. Meaning, every time you give a gift and did not receive the photo in return, you have to quit the game without saving and load the game again. Repeat until she gives you the photo. Of course, save first before attempting this. And this only works if you have high friendship.

Tried this with Ken 3 days ago. This smug chicken has been living for a month in my island and I've been giving him foreign fruits and wall lamps daily. Been doing favors for him too. I was a little frustrated that he still hasn't given me his photo considering all that effort. Got his photo after 4 tries.
