pete/phyllis/brewster drama

You guys have probably already noticed but it seems like Pete has a crush on Phyllis, but she says to Brewster "sometimes I feel like you're the only one who really understands me" or something like that, while Brewster appears shocked.

What a mess ! Does anyone have any more information ? Hehe

I know Pelly having a crush on Pete goes back to WW, possibly farther -haven't played CF enough to know- and that it's been hinted by her and the bulletin board posts she makes at times. I knew Pete has a crush on a pelican, but until NL for some reason I thought it was Pelly, and both of them were just too shy to ask another out.

What a good thing that your job as the mayor is not to handle any shipping drama between your
villagers and the NPCs, like acting like a therapist who need to calm down everybody so they don't
start crying you another river in your town, lol.

But if you ask me, Pelly and Pete would make a cute couple. Not that I ship them, however, if I
take a look at Phyllis, she looks for me more like someone who prefers to be single or at least is
not interested in a long running relationship. As for Brewster, he for me more like that best buddy
that don't know what to say and rather prefer to stay away from that love drama, since making
coffee is more his thing then dealing with stuff like that...

I remember back in WW when it was known that Pete liked Phyllis, but Pelly liked Pete.
And can confirm about the Gossip stone.

And I agree witb Eclipsa, that Pelly and Pete would be a good match, and Phyllis seems like one who does better single. She seems to be about doing things for herself and working off of that.

Brewster probably hears a lot of drama and gossip due to his job, so he probably just lets it slide. I imagine being in that job, you'd hear plenty of random things.

I've actually always kind of rooted for the Pete and Phyllis relationship going all the way back to the original Animal Crossing for the GameCube. Pete and Pelly seemed like such an obvious choice that when I learned Pete was actually crushing on Phyllis, I couldn't help but be excited by the novelty. I still wish Pete luck in his pursuit of Phyllis. I know she has a heart and I think Pete might be the guy to bring it out in her.

Honestly, I don't personally get the vibe that Phyllis is into Brewster (or vice versa). I think Phyllis just appreciates anyone who doesn't bother her.

Agreed! I think Pelly and Pete would be a good couple, but not Phyllis.

For some reason, I always thought that too. I was really confused for a while in NL when he was talking about Phyllis. Kind of disappointed in him too. Pelly is sweet.

I like to think that Phyllis tries to encourage him to like Pelly instead, which is part of the reason why she's so cranky. It's annoying to have someone pursue you when you are OBVIOUSLY not into them.

personally, i think brewster and blathers would be a good couple...a love pentagon?? although if blathers doesn't reciprocate then that's just kind of sad for everyone involved...pelly is in love with pete who is in love with phyllis who is in love with brewster who is in love with blathers...that'd be a mess!!
