They're usually rude and arrogant, but somewhat nice if befriended.
I know they got watered down in newer games, but I don't find it a real problem.

I got into the snooty villagers when my first town started and Gwen was the first snooty villager there.

Feel free to make your own post discussing other personalities btw.

Gwen was my first snooty villager I had in the series. I didn't really care about her. I don't really mind that they got watered down (I do mind that cranky villager aren't, well... cranky though). They are my least favourite personality type, however (except in New Leaf, where it's the jock villagers that are my least favourite due to the cringy constant sports references they make which didn't happen as much in older games).

Somehow I get slightly different 'vibes' from different villagers even if they're the same personality.
Ankha is my snooty but she seems to be a tad bit more goofy and a loner than other snooties I've had...I know they truly are all the same, but that's just how it is in my little world. I kind of like the personality type overall, they were definitely nasty in older games...whether you prefer that or not is up to you; I personally don't mind niceness and Ankha is one of my coolest villagers; I don't see her as often as others but she'll do cool things like give me medicine rather than laugh at my bee sting.

It's weird how Naomi wasn't always on good terms with my characters, and was mostly a loner, but Amelia in my primary town is usually outside talking to different villagers. Weird how the same personality differs from one villager to another.

I don't really mind them being watered down tbh...I mean back in WW, the snooties were so nasty that I didn't really even like talking to them lmao. I don't really notice differences between the snooties tho. Back when I had more than 1, their dialogue was pretty much identical.

Timbra. Not too fond of her type at first but, as time went on, she turned out to be very warm and friendly. Just like real life, first impressions aren't always accurate.

Gloria my first snooty in nl was really cute to me for being a snooty but my current one (Ankha) just sits home all the time
weird that all the Ankhas seemed a loner perhaps it's just my head but reading the other posts now that sound true O_o

The watered down personality was a BAD idea. They all seem like robots... How could you get your feelings hurt from snooties being rude. If you are that young that you get hurt from a game then you are too young to play it.

Honestly I think they were funnier, and had more personality when they were actually hmmm SNOOTY.

Totally agree. I will never stop complaining about these half-assed luke-warm personalities of New Leaf. R.I.P to all our lovely crankies & snooties out there. Let us hope they return to their former glory one day. I swear having Whitney in my town only brings nothing but disappointment. Because I used to adore her in previous games, and now she just seems like a shell of her original self. She's not snooty at all. Like the snootiest thing she's said to me was something along the lines of "I want a fruit that's as perfect as I am!" or something. I miss her snide remarks. Where tf has Whitney gone??? Will she ever come back??? Probably not, since sensitive 10 year olds apparently rule the world and the gaming industry now.

I sense a lot of people are going to complain about how snooties were toned down in New Leaf and then saying that they hate New Leaf just because of that. Anyways, I think they should've slightly been watered down (especially since Wild World's snooties were pretty much unlikable) but not as much as they were in New Leaf. I once saw an angry snooty villager (Pecan) in New Leaf and she had only 2 lines of dialog when she was angry, none of which were even mean or aimed at the player. They should be a bit rude to the player, but not as near as they were in Wild World. Maybe have them act like they did in the GameCube games? If so, just make sure they don't spam "FOR GOD'S SAKE, SOMEONE PLEASE CHANGE THAT IRRITATING TOWN TUNE!" over and over because that was VERY annoying.

Like even if you whack them with a net on purpose, they are like "Its ok, you didnt mean it." I WANT YOU TO YELL AT ME!

My first snooty villager was Olivia, and I loved her. Snooty villagers were always my favorite <3

I like snooty villagers in all games. I do agree that in new leaf they are not snooty anymore, but just... Elegant? Lady-like? Which is not bad, just... Different. I guess.

It does fit the image I had for Blanche (my favourite!!) nicely. So I'm not complaining haha.

In NL they act like soccer moms who post minion memes on FaceBook :P
In HHD, despite the limited dialogue, I think they act way more snobby than in NL which I like (but still nicer than WW/GC)

But I love them regardless. When I was little I had a "crush" on Olivia, I really liked her blue eyeshadow :P .
I agree with many others on here though, different villagers of the same personality give me very different vibes. For example in my town now, I feel like Tipper acts more snobby, while Julia acts more elegant/sophisticated. I still love both.

Overall it's my fav personality after normal.

Well considering NL is my first AC game, I guess I don't have much of an opinion on how snooties were originally. I personally wouldn't mind if they fit the bill a little better than they do now, but at least they're likeable in NL. I think it's kind of nice to see a snooty warm up to you and show concern for you, I don't know if they did that originally but I'd miss that. It gives me warm fuzzies. Though I do think there would be a greater sense of accomplishment in befriending a snooty if they were an absolute ***** initially, but with time they developed into a sweeter personality that's mostly reserved for your character and villagers they're compatible with.
