I actually go to a dermatologist for my acne, so all I do is wash my face in the shower in the morning and put on a cream when I get out. At night I use face wipes and a different cream. I still get acne, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was when I wasn't going to the dermatologist.
Lemon is super bad for the skin! Please don't use lemon. Or any citrus fruits on your skin or derivatives like citrus essential oils. Honestly, it's probably best to not use any fruits as a general rule.
I became obsessed with skincare sometime last year, so I'm still making a perfect regimen. It's turning into a really weird hobby of mine. I have super stubborn acne that doesn't react to anything and sensitive combination skin that does react to everything, which is fun.
Evening:
CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser | Either a BHA or AHA exfoliant. I'm currently waiting on two products in the mail, so nothing specific here yet. | After waiting around 30 minutes - CeraVe Moisturizing Cream
I'm thinking of making my own cleanser and vitamin C serum and adding them as well. I'm just too lazy to buy the equipment and ingredients I need.
I had acne for a couple years and I noticed that it's finally started to die down. Now I'm mostly only left with hyperpigmentation marks that'll go away on their own. I tried Proactiv and Neutrogena for a while but neither worked at all for me. Eventually I stopped eating all dairy and gluten products, and only washed my face twice a day with Cetaphil, then I put honey on all my spots to help them fade. This really worked for me, but my acne didn't get a lot better until school was over so I think it mostly came from stress. Now I just wash my face once a day, still with Cetaphil, and use moisturizer after, and my skin is at its best. I guess mine is pretty much starting to go away on its own now but the honey thing definitely helped a lot with getting some of my spots to fade.
I don't have any regime but I use face wipes because I have such oily skin :c it helps to cleanse it I suppose cause it feels so clean after wiping it. I also use cortisone cream on my nose, cheeks, nosey creases and my forehead because I get really dry, itchy skin and it just really soothes it and cleans it up ^^
i dont get acne that much anymore, but i usually get breakouts pretty bad right before my time of month. I don't bother to wash my face during this time because its really drying on my face. I just wash the problem areas and put acne cream on the spots and let it dry over night with a bandaid. I keep doing this until its gone. It's helped clear pretty bad cysts within less than a week. I tried a method of just leaving it alone and washing my face as normal but it takes forever to clear on its own. I use mostly Korean brand face cleansers to help reduce the redness under my nose and cheek areas. It helps keep the skin softer too even if you have oily or combination , always moisturize! Aloe is a great way to moisturize and keep your skin looking youthful in the long run. I also try not to wash too often to keep the natural oils my skin needs. I will wash my face with a cleanser usually once a week. And moisturize every other day. I rarely wear make up so I don't really put much effort into washing that often ^^
Genetics. But seriously, I don't really use anything on my face other than plain old soap & water and an occasional little pat down with some Eskinol when I get a little too oily. Everyone in my family's been blessed with great skin, even as they aged, and no one really splurges on skincare products aside from makeup remover and, very rarely, face wash. I guess I'm lucky.
I just wash with soap and water while I take my shower. Sometimes I use cetaphil as moisturizer when I remember, which is rarely. I don't use make up though so that helps, not that I need it anyway.
Acne things. Each morning I use a generic acne facial scrub, end the shower with freezing cold water, and only wash my face twice a day. If you wash your face too many times you're making yourself susceptible to acne. I also wash my pillowcases twice a week and my towels twice a week. I don't get acne unless I'm stressed when I do all of this.
This. I never found any acnecream that made a jot of difference to my skin, then I was told to wash my pillowcases frequently and flip them to always use a clean side (I have a billion xP) and to just drink plenty of water and eat hazelnuts and raw carrots. Ever since then I only really get spots if I'm really stressed.
Though I now get a different issue in seemingly being allergic to shaving. But beards are fashionable at the moment so I'm free from that too now.
I just moisturise and use cleansing anti-spot stuff.
People should know that a lot of the expensive face stuff is complete bull - most moisturisers have the same ingredients, and the expensive ones just have more ingredients to make it look more complicated, but in fact the extra ingredients are in such small quantities they don't do anything. so basically, buy cheap moisturiser.
I wash my face twice a day (once in the morning and once in the night), wash my pillow sheets once a week, and try to drink plenty of water and avoid greasy food. I still get a little acne but it was much better than a few years ago.
When I was a teen my acne was so bad that I had to go to the doctor to get a prescription for something. After awhile it stopped working so I switched to Proactive, and used that for about 7 years. Now that Im 21 my skin isnt as bad as it used to be and his past summer I switched to using Mario Badescu's Cucumber Cleansing Lotion for astringent but I still have some Proactives repair treatment lotion.
This is what I usually do before bed each night:
soak a washcloth with hot (but not too hot) water
Place it on my face for a couple minutes
Pat dry
Then I put the astringent all over my face
And sometimes Ill use the treatment lotion if Im having a (rare) breakout
I leave Stridex on for a while, then wash it off with any cleanser, and moisturize with cerave in the pump bottle. The beginning sucked, but now my skin looks prrrettttttyyyy good.
Also avoiding chocolate for a good two weeks before I want to look presentable. I know they say there's no correlation but they are wrong!
