Yes, another person who is on the fence about resetting. Original, I know, but I'm honestly this close to resetting;

I would love to hear the experiences of people who have already reset:

When did you reset? Recently? Near the start of the game? Just yesterday?
Why did you reset? Did you not like where your Residental Services was? Wasn't a fan of your rivers ending somewhere?
Did you regret it? Having any second thoughts or do you think it was the best move?

Optionally; Did you have anyone hold any of your things? Like items, NMT's, Bells, Villagers, etc.?

Feel free to write long paragraph essays. I'll read them.

i got the game on launch day and started over 5 days after. there were a lot of things that were bugging me, mainly the island name and most of the villagers that moved in. these thoughts gradually got worse to the point where i just decided to start over while i was working on something. i had someone on this forum hold some of my items for me but i didnt transfer any bells or nook mile tickets. i dont regret resetting at all because even though i put what i felt like was so much time and effort into the game it was only 5 days that i could definitely make up for. i rushed too fast into the game (including lots of time travelling) and it was like my starting run to help me do better next time.
the only negative that came from this is that my residential services is very close to the airport, even closer than it was last time but ive managed to make a compromise for it.

I reset on the 10th of this month, also Mother's day where I live. I reset because I time traveled some villagers in and out of my town and felt bad about it, plus it messed up my nook stamps. I only used it for villagers and not for shops and stuff, so I didn't use it to beat my game super fast or get rich, but I still felt really bad about the consequences of doing it. So I reset, and honestly I am so happy and guilt free, and I'm having so much fun. I don't regret it. I totally had my girlfriend hold my super rare or expensive items though, or things that were gifts from people and had sentimental value. Like the ring that she bought for my character, and the Lucky Gold Cat that a user sold to me for all I could offer even though everyone else could offer so much more. I've met some super kind souls and would not throw away their gifts so easily. But yeah my museum, DIYs, and construction projects all gone. I've stopped time traveling entirely to train myself to be patient and also to make the game last longer. I'm just having so much fun and have new villagers and a new town that makes this feel like a new game! I definitely think you need to think super hard about this, but I stand by my decision.

You have to ask yourself the same questions you're asking us. Why are you doing it? When are you thinking about doing it? Do you think you'll regret it? You may not be able to answer those questions but you should probably have an inkling of a reason for doing it before actually committing. I lost over 350 hours. Like I said, I don't regret it, but I also am aware that I did lose a lot and it will take quite some time to gain as much wealth or progress as I had before.
