I know this has been asked before, but all the ones I see are from when the game wasn't out long, and I recently reset, so I'll ask now.

I quit playing for a while, now I'm playing sgain after reset (saving important thing). I hated the layout of my old page, it was my first time playing so I didn't know, and I already put out quite a few pwp's before someone told me o out out paths, page looked horrible with deteriorated grass. I had just randomly placed things and when I set out pwths I was told make them go to everything, so I did and hated it but I kept it for a while.

I love the way it looks without paths, kind of like a forest, but I also love the way other people can make paths look good, but on my page, I feel like it is too cramped with paths and I don't have a lot of room, but without it I'm afraid it will look, how do I explain, too mixed up, messy.

I guess what I mean asking, has anyone else been in my shoes and what did u do? Are there more people for paths or against pas? I would hate to say I don't want paths, then later want them but everything Already be in the wrong place for them.

I think its your own opinion.
I don't use paths bc I think it looks more naturally, and I just don't like towns which are full of ugly paths.
So I would suggest you to let your town naturally (and you can save place for other designs)
You can still decorate your town with clovers and mushrooms.

I think towns looks way better without paths but that's my personal preference. My town had no paths until I started on a dirt path. I think that or clover paths are best.

Everyone has a different taste on what looks good or what doesn't. I like to have a path personally because I can run freely without having to worry about the grass, and it makes my town look more put together. Paths are definitely not required in the game. If you like the natural look, then by all means, keep it that way. Just because someone has a path in their town doesn't mean you have to put it in yours. Play the game however you want to play it. It's your game/town after all. Not anyone else's.

I'm for paths, I feel like my town would look much more empty if I just had PWPs scattered everywhere and no paths for them. You can still have a natural looking town with paths. If you get stone or cobble paths it can look pretty nice, if you scatter them wisely and arrange your trees to look spaced and add a couple of mushrooms your town can look pretty woodsy. When designing my town, my looked very small and closed, because I had my trees way too close to each other. Personally I think it only feels more cramped when PWPs are too close to each other, and not spaced out evenly as well as trees. Paths can help give your town a different look and differentiate your town from other towns. Especially if you're going for a theme paths are good to use. Two tiled paths are also good to use, they take up less space in your inventory and they look great with four leaf clovers. I think if you really dislike the way paths look in your town don't have them. :) It's your town after all so do what you think will look great with it!

I'm not a big fan of pattern paths, but I love the natural paths you can make by running.

Why be so one way or another ?? You can have it all !! You can have sections of paths, you can have natural areas, you can have clear areas with flowers or clovers or just grass. You can have forests and orchards and gardens or no trees at all !! That's the best part of this game, you are in control of how everything looks. And... If you don't lik it, erase it, pull it up, chop it down, move it, demolish it, rebuild it. Other than villagers houses, re-tail and the courthouse, everything is basically movable !! You should be happy with everything in your town or redo it until you are !!

I have natural areas, natural paths and brick paths. I prefer brick covered over the grey slate stones, but that's just me. I have seen towns with paths that are gorgeous and some that are just tacky. All natural towns that look wonderful and some that look run down and old !! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!!
