does Pascal come at a certain time or date? i've only seen him once and i didn't know what to do so he jumped in the river...

ok, i just ran into Pascal this morning at 6:00 am. im not sure how long he sticks around for, but i gave him a scallop and he gave me a ship cannon, maybe thats rare i dunno. then he jump into the river and i watched him float out to the sea
