Do you keep one? If you do, how large is your orchard and how many trees do you have in it? I’m planning to make one but I’m not sure how expansive I want it to be so I need an idea what’s a reasonable size and how many trees are required for an ideal orchard. Appreciate your inputs!

I keep a pretty decent sized one to the north just for easy access to all fruits. I just have sections for each fruit. I mostly just use them to earn a lot of bells. I’m finally starting to develop my north side more though so I may need to rethink it.

My orchard is 6 down and 7 across, with the middle column having 3 money trees instead of 6 trees and is used as an entrance. I chose functionality over appearance and my 6 columns of fruit trees are as close to each other as possible.

It is located in the far northwest of my island and has a lattice fence around it with 2 stone arches as entrances.

My orchard is pretty small. I don't want to make it too big just in case Nintendo decides to give us more fruits lol

I have a small one on the left side of my island! It just has three of each tree. It's mainly for aesthetic purposes and it's cute and I like it :)

I also only have three of each type barring coconuts. It takes up about as much space as two villager houses would smooshed together and still has some decent spacing. It is kind of a “reserve” in case I pick everything else dry or have to chop down trees and need new seeds. But it looks really nice!

I've got two orchards running along the sides of my island. With two south river exits, it made the most sense. The trees are two spaces apart vertically and horizontally. I've got each foreign fruit represented in alternating patterns. The only two remaining natives (pears, yuck) stand in front of my house.

Well, I no longer need fruit for bells, but I do have an orchard- just in case some DIYs need them or if someone else needs them. It's in the northwest of my island and leads up to the campsite- I think it's pretty cool and makes my campsite seem more secluded and more like it's in the forest. It's about 13x11, and that's including the pathways and spaces in between. Got 6 of each fruit tree.

Overall, I think it's a pretty decent size without taking up too much space. If you need the bells, you might want to make it a bit bigger, but if you want an orchard just to keep the fruits around, it might be chill to have it around that size.

Mine is around 25 across and 9 down (not including other orchard decor). I have 8 trees of each except coconuts but I arranged them each into 2 columns, same fruits are spaced 1 apart and different fruits are spaced 2 apart.

Thanks for your inputs! I’m also trying to save as much space as possible because I’m holding out for a cafe. I’m still hopeful we’re getting Brewster so I’m not going all out on assigning generous spaces to every “area”.

With 1460 trees, I make 2.19 million bells every harvest. It's not much, but it's honest work.

Whoah my eyes! Lol. Props to you for finding a way around your island. How do you even see fossils and the glowing dig spot in there? Haha.

My orchard is 5 x 3 (so 15 fruit trees total) and it's located directly in front of my shop (also directly in front of my airport). I also have one of each fruit tree in my yard.

Before I chopped down most of my orchards that were scattered around my island, I had a total of 60 fruit trees that I would pick and sell. I have no need to pick fruit for bells anymore, so whenever I do pick them, I give them as gifts to my villagers. Managed to get Fang's photo with a coconut. ^^

My orchard is 12 trees each of the 5 types, so 60 trees. 2 spaces between each tree. It's fairly large, bit not insane. If they end up adding more fruit I'll probably reduce what I have to make room.

Thing about it, it probably doesn't need to be that big. Hmm...
