Oranges and Pears?

Have you found any other non-native fruit on any trip you've done to a mystery island? You can only get 3 types of fruit without trading.

I'd be happy to give you some oranges and pears if you want!

I've got all the fruits on my island and more than happy to share for free.

On a side note: My native fruits are apples, and at least 3 times now, I've found pears on NMT islands, leading me to believe our games are locked to 1 other fruit we can find on NMTs.

Correct. I need orange and pear and I still can't get it. Do you know if other players can mail you items if you don't have online membership?

Thinking about ways to go around Nintendo anti-consumer policy.

Mailing items can only be done so for friends you have played with at least once, and requires internet connection, so Nintendo Online is required for both.

Nintendo's online sub is about $1.60 a month, which is less than the cost of eating a single burrito at Taco Bell once a month, or a candy bar at a gas station. It's not too much to ask. Considering Xbox will make you pay about $5 a month (3x more expensive for 12 months) last time I checked.

If you want around Nintendo's "anti-consumer policy", you need to find a friend IRL, and do local multiplayer.

Its not about the money, its the principle. I have Nintendo Online (7 day trial). Yes I don't care for Xbox or PS4 online either so I don't buy them as well.

I mean I don't have any other online Nintendo game, and most people here have online because of Smash and other games. Paying money just to get non-native fruits?

Well there is more you can do in AC with online than just fruits, but if that's all you're going to use it for it does sound a bit silly. However, it's not the only thing you use if for in AC, so if you plan to play with friends or do a lot of trading, it's useful. I got online simply for animal crossing, personally.

Well no. Getting non-native fruits is only 1 out of hundreds of things you can use Nintendo Online for. That's like buying a car just to turn the headlights on and do nothing else

Same. 2 of my sisters live in another state, and we use Nintendo online, and the voice chat in Nintendo Online app to connect through Animal Crossing, so just being able to socialize with people online is worth the dollar and cents.

Isn't that via phone though and not actual in voice chat? Not sure why it can't be build in to the Switch instead of a separate app?
