Opinions on Tom Nook

Somthing about him doesnt sit well with me... its almost like with zipper t bunny how he was so fake when your back was turned... he seems like hes up to somthing and taking all my money with greed... he takes away from the deserted island story... soooo much... whats his point?? Its not deserted if YOURE HERE TOM.. Doesnt really make sense to me.. I feel like hes unnecessary... if I'm gonna diy stuff on a deserted island let me diy my entire house... I wish that WE were in charge of our island..... what is this island yours nook??! Why am I paying you!??!?!?!?! He reminds me of like a soccer coach.. whatever tom

Also I feel like he isn't as bad as many people make him out to be and that he's kinda simmered down overtime. I think it's become more apparent since he adopted Timmy and Tommy. Dude basically gives you a house with a no interest loan. That's probably the best sort of loan you could ever have.

I don't really care about him tbh, I actually prefer having him take a backseat so having to go talk to him all the time to do everything is a little annoying since I would prefer if it was Isabelle. Now both of them share roles that could be merged. Also if Lyle, Lottie and Digby ever make it into the game, what would they do?

He's a good guy. Definitely loves money, but isn't greedy. People call him a loan shark, but he doesn't charge any interest. Also, IIRC, he adopted timmy and tommy when they were orphans. I swear, anyone who says he's bad doesn't understand the series and are bandwagoning.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with TNook. Quite the contrary, I think he’s being more than generous with each of us lol. He gives you a place to live and yes, you do have a loan, but guess what? You don’t have to pay it if you don’t want to. If you do want to pay so you can upgrade, he gives you as much time as you need to pay him and doesn’t add interest. You could basically live in the last upgrade forever and not pay him a dime and he doesn’t kick you out, doesn’t hound you for the money, etc.

He’s so happy when he shares things with you too! I didn’t go on the May Day thing but I saw a video of it and when Tom asked the player if he had fun (going on a trip for free that TNook prepared to thank them for working hard) he said no and TNook was so sad! All he said was he hoped at least something about the activity made him smile a little. That doesn’t sound like a bad dude to me.

I don’t get why people dislike him so. Ya pay him cause it’s his island package and he brought you there and provided what you needed, is my opinion

I appreciate the video with the history behind... i did not know what animal tom nook timmy and Tommy were but always wondered!! Thanks for sharing.. both animals in folktale deceive humans... exactly. Hes deceiving!! That is exactly what I get from him.. everything makes sense now... but the fact that jwitz is talking as if his opinion is mine just doesnt sit well with me... it's just his opinion but a few things he was talking as if his opinions on a scenario were valid facts and I just have a different perspective on a lot of different things.. as for tom nook I see right thru him.. just because this youtuber thinks redd and the otter guy are worse than tom doesnt make tom any better.. he did say that though...so that's why I feel like hes joking... the otter is working for tom nook doesnt make tom nook a good guy just for what?? Letting him set his desk up in the building???did he really even give him a job or is that just the youtubers silly perspective on things..if anything I see that as the bad guys working together... I dont see anything good about what the youtuber said was good about him..personally still..but maybe that's the whole joke hes trying to pull I kinda feel that... I feel that the youtuber is deceiving like tomnuki... hah!!! Pranksters.. and I'm really confused about toms relationship with the able sister.. that was really confusing. I geuss there just old homies but why is she so depressed? I think over time they made him seem nicer so he was more likeable but he still has such a deceiving demeanor which he should since thats what the tanuki is about .. I feel like hes a necessity since hes an og but I just dont like being deceived for my bells man it's just unnecessary ! Give us another option maybe like taking the path less traveled.. bes kindve demanding I mean u Have To do what he says to get anywhere in the game..


On the bright side now theres one thing I do like about him now is that the tanuki which is the animal hes supposed to be is "trickster or a prankster " now that's dope a Japanese prankster god.. I like the history now atleast I know why hes deceiving me... the history makes him cooler but just tom nook alone I dont really vibes with too much... yet.. not sure if I can muster up a liking to having to be deceived by him... and do everything he tells me to do.. is that what people do in the folklore?? Now that's what I needa knoW!+! 100%%%%
