Opinion on Isabelle item events

Today where I am is explorers day. So I want to know what people think of these days where Isabelle gives you a free item. Personally, I don't care.

Personally, I'm okay with it. Most of the items in NA are...okay? EU, 한국, 日本 get better items to me. :/

I mean I don't mind it. I put the ship on a table in one of my rooms and it fit perfectly, but tbh prob have another one of these lost in my storage somewhere. I wish there was more to it sometimes, but don't really care. Columbus Day sucks anyway. He's a jerk.

I wish that they were more fun like the main events instead of just getting angry that you can't build or demolish a PWP that day. I like the boat that we got today but It's probably just going to collect dust in my storage (^_^

I don't mind them. For some of the holidays, I look forward to getting the items if I want to use them in my house. Plus, it's nice to see Isabelle outside of Town Hall once in a while. Since I've completed all the work in my town, I never have a reason to go in and see her anymore, so days where she's outside handing out gifts are really the only interaction I have with her now.

However, after a year or two, the gifts get boring because they're always the same thing and once I have one in my storage, I just end up selling any duplicates I get. I wish we could get some of the other region's gifts just to spice things up.

I love sail boat model.
I think it's a nice system that there are region lock thing. So that way it's more fun when you visit people from other regions and happen to get one from Isabelle.

I think they're fun the first time. But then next year I usually have no reason to get duplicates of the items. Though actually, this applies to most of the events in the game once you've gotten all the rewards.
Also, I love Isabelle's dialog about melting into a puddle of puppy fluff on the summer solstice.

I honestly really like the NA exclusives, and I think every region made off well. c: Region locked items are fun ! It promotes socialization and trading, and makes every region unique. Plus, the regional items can have more meaning than if they were for all---If they were accessible to everyone, a lot of the items wouldn't even make sense. I think a lot of kids wouldn't understand the cultural references and be like, what is this junk?

Exclusives are nice and they promote trading. But I'm not too fond of NA exclusives. No hate to anyone who does, they're just kinda boring. I mean?? A globe?? A bundle of wheat?? Wow. I feel like a peasant in the 1800's.

I think they might want to make sure Explorers' Day is removed from New Horizons, though. Maybe replace it with Martin Luther King day or something. Columbus isn't necessarily a Saint in the history books anymore.

I like them. Seeing Isabelle's dialog and getting an item based on the event/culture is fun to me. I kind of wish I could see all the different ones for what Isabelle would say. Aside from that, I like trading for the ones I cannot experience.

The only item from these events that I actually liked/used were the wands from winter solstice. Otherwise, while these events were interesting during my first year of playing, after that I just got annoyed that I couldn't go into the Town Hall

In the early days of new leaf I had so much fun visiting towns in other regions to pick up those gifts. I never found the NA ones to be that interesting though. After a while I started getting annoyed when I couldn’t do mayor stuff because I already got all the items

I personally like the items Isabelle gets, but I wish you get could items from other regions eaiser.

Well if you like me have the standard, or maybe you could call it vanilla EU/English edition they sold here, you don't really get much outside holidays, but I just hate how many EU ones they left out just because "lol region language" things when they could have easily included german/spanish/whatever things even if some were later added as DLC.

I hate their region exclusive mentality and I'm hoping for those who get NH they will stop that crap or at least make it more available.

I love getting free items from Isabelle and I love to read her dialogue too. My favorite items that she gives is the sailboat, the ladder shades, and the glow wand from the Winter Solstice. I do think that some other countries get better items though, but I don't mind.

I like the exclusive Isabelle item events. It's fun seeing the different types of items that are given out for different holidays!

Nah, I think Explorers' Day is general enough that it doesn't have to have anything to do with Columbus. I think just maybe change the date to something else. He isn't a saint, since nobody ever is perfect, but it's just that...well...even for someone in his time, he was kind of a monster.:/ But w/e. I think Explorers' Day should stay, but maybe the date should change. And I love the Isabelle items too, esp. the ladder shades all sunny day and the star wand all night events!
