Can someone explain the "void" to me? How does one clear their void? and what's it matter if it's cleared or not?

TT 2 days then back if no plot or house open again and i'll come again!

Basically if you let a villager move out without someone getting them, they go into the 'void'. If you wifi with other people, then they can sometimes pick up that villager if they have less than ten. You can clear your void by going to a town with ten villagers (although sometimes this doesn't work?? I've had a friend go to to someone with a full town before and then visit me and I still got their villager so). It matters because well not everyone is going to want someone's old villager in their town, either because they don't like the villager or because they prefer their neighbors to be original or whatever other personal reasons.
