Yes, it cracked me up. I don't get it AT ALL THOUGH.
Is it some kind of japanese pronunciation joke!?
I figured maybe someone on here might get it.. or is this just.. what is this video?

who would find the harassment of a single man mis-distinguishing a piece of lettuce. It's just kinda mean, if it was set up on purpose than Japan must doing some crazy stuff

Theory time:
Maybe this piece of .. cabbage/lettuce is being discriminated on by the japanese because it's not like the rest.
It's the very existence that is the in-between of cabbage and lettuce.. it's the bridge that connects them both.

Maybe this video is trying to show us the true importance that two things may merge and become something to be recognized.
or they're just randomly shouting at a plant.

So yeah to the OP: it's just a dumb joke with no real meaning, nor does it have anything to do with the Japanese pronunciation (Maybe an inside joke between them?). It still made me laughed though.
