so tia randomly moved into my town & i would love to keep her, but she moved into a really dumb place.
im using a new character so i could reset and all, but i'm wondering if this would change her, the villager moving in, or just her plot?
sorry im new to this haha

Is Tia the eighth, ninth, or tenth villager?

Because if she is the eighth or ninth, resetting probably would change the villager moving in as well as where the plot is.

However, if she was from streetpass, then only her plot should change when you restart.

If you're plot resetting with a new character, it will only change where her house plot is (so her house placement). Tia will still be there and the same.

But, if you already logged on the mayor file, it's too late to plot reset. Dx

she's the 9th, i dont think i got her from streetpass, but how would i know that for sure?
i havent logged on the mayor file yet. xD

I think taking a chance and resetting is the only way you'd know for sure.

If you streetpassed with anyone recently with NL, it could be a possibility that way.

However as a random move in as a ninth, if you reset it might be a different villager. It also depends on your types of villagers in your town. Your town should try to give you a villager of a type you DON'T have. So if you don't have any normal villagers, you could potentially cycle through the game's possible normal types to try to get Tia again and in a better spot.

ooh, so as long as i keep resetting, i should eventually get her again if things don't work out?

It really just depends. If you don't have a normal villager and your town is trying to give you only normal villagers, I think you could keep resetting and eventually get again.

well yeah. i don't have any normal.
i think i get it now, im gonna give resetting a try!
thank you all!! (:

If you have less than ten villagers, on a new day, create a new character and scope your town for any new plots. If you don't like where the plot is, you can exit out without saving and do it again.

This will not work if you already started up the game with the mayor or any secondary characters. The reason for this is because your town is saved when you load up an existing character so no changes can be made.
