I was cutting down a tree when some bees pop out... interestingly those were the first bees I've seen because I'm not a tree shaker. Anyway, as I start to run away my controller runs out of batteries ._.
Whenever I try to catch a bee I always get stungJOM said:I have only ever caught one bee... I was so lucky.

(3-d): Bees
What I found out about bees, after a long time trying to catch them, is that
once you shake them out of a tree, available all year, the trick is to
constantly change your tool using the directional pad. Once the hive falls,
keep changing your tool, and you will be invincible. Once you get the net out,
and the bees are swarming in front of you (they will slowly circle you when
you are invincible), swing your net, and you will most likely catch one. This
is how I caught mine, and it was my last bug to find. Try try again if you
mess up, they are not exactly hard to find... also, shaking fruit trees just
puts junk around your town, don't bother.
Here's a method by MikanPachi
Basicly I found a method of catching bees that slightly increases chances of
catching them. What You should do is have you'r bug net set so you can quickly
equip in from pressing left or right. (Make sure it's set so it's the first
thing you equip when you press the button) Now before you shake a tree, make
sure you are on the left or right side of it and when you shake it and see the
hive fall, quickly equip your net. Now the final part requires fast timing and
luck, but start hitting the side of the tree as fast as you can (make sure
you're directly next to it and facing it) and if you can get 2 or 3 swings in,
you might end up catching the bee. I'm still testing this technique, but so
far out of 6 times trying this method I've caught a total of 2 bees. (twice
I didn't hit the tree, and twice the bees stung without giving me a chance
to swing) It has better chances to hit the bees then swinging randomly because
I noticed the bees don't sting as you're in the middle of a swing and they
buzz around you when you are and if you time it right, you'll swing when they
are between you and the tree and catch them. Try it out and see.
