OH MY GOD I FEEL SO LUCKY. :O

Literally "lucky" in this case. Last night I convinced Lucky from my campsite to come live with me in Sunville and I was ecstatic that he finally agreed! Lucky's been my dreamie for awhile and he is like my FAVORITE villager. I've been really meticulous with where everyone lives in my town because it's all been mapped out, so I wrote several notes to myself to do the reset trick today to make sure he claims a plot of land that works for me.

By several notes I mean: three sticky notes, an alarm on my cell, and also a little slip of paper in my ds case.

And what do I do? I FORGET. I LOAD MY MAYOR AND THEN REALIZE WITH DAWNING HORROR THAT I JUST ROYALLY SCREWED UP. I cried a little, I admit, as I frantically ran around through the newly fallen snow to find his to-be home. I might have mumbled "ohmygod, ohmygod" several times aloud to myself (in public, in the break-room at work) because I realized if the plot of land was in a bad enough location, I might have to do the 16-villager cycling thing and at this point I can only hope the situation is salvageable.

Where does Lucky end up moving? RIGHT. WHERE. I. WANTED. HIM. TO.

Lucky, my darling pup, you are indeed a lucky dog. <3 <3 <3

tl;dr - Dreamie moving in today, I forget and don't do the reset trick, he moves exactly where I wanted him to anyway. WIN!

Thank you, thank you, everyone! T_T <3 I just wanted to share my amazement. I was so sure he was gonna plop down in the worst spot imaginable and all that mapping out I did was about to go down the drain.

There's a trick when you know you've got a new villager moving in. You can basically pick and choose where their plot of land will be (which is normally random). Basically, the day after you convince them to move to your town (from the camp or another town), you start a new character and run around to find the plot of land. If it's in a place you like, you set up a tent and go with the game until you can save. Then delete the new character. If it isn't in a place you like, you hit 'home' and exit out of AC and then load again. Create a new character and the plot of land will be in a different location. People use this trick to get people to move where they want. You obviously need an empty save for this to work.

Awww... Congrats^^ I know that feeling I had to TT for Lopez plot in order to get another dreamie, I had 10 min. though. So I just loaded and I was prepared for super bad location, but his plot was placed almost where Marshal's house used to be. I was in tears and thankful to Lopez^^

Congrats!! I got Lucky from the campsite too -- I was so excited. I've loved him since he moved into my GC town and left 48 hours later (that train system was harsh on your villagers). And what luck that he picked a great spot.

You know what it actually quite weird? 3 villagers who were ALL gorillas moved into the EXACT same space. I'm kinda glad that the space is there again for Jeremiah because it's actually a spot I don't mind.

Oh my goooosh. ;_; I can imagine. It totally sucks when you have a dreamie who sets up his/her house in a location that kills you a little inside. It's like "oooh I love you, BUT I HATE WHERE YOU LIVE NGG."
