I'm very new to TTing and trading/selling villagers. D:
I went to someones town recently and got Marshal to agree to move, and then this morning I asked Whitney to move to my town. At the time I asked Marshal, I had 9 villagers. Then, I TT'ed 5 days to Chief's moving date and went back to 8. Now, Whitney moved in but Marshal still hasn't showed up, making my villager count 9 once again. Did I send him to the void by accident or am I just being impatient? It's been 5 days now (in game) since Whitney moved in.

did you ask them on the same day? the second villager you ask would cancel out the first ;o;

I don't think so... I asked Marshal before moving out Chief, and Whitney would have been 5 days afterwards in game. ;_;

Yeah, you have to wait for Marshal to plot before you invite Whitney or she'll cancel him out.

Oh, wow... I really wish I would have known that sooner. ;_; I feel terrible.

in the future, stick to one villager at a time. Invite one in, move them in entirely, then move someone out or invite someone else.
