Oh my God. My mom just got a surprise gift for me... GERARDO NUNEZ SHEET MUSIC! It's so difficult to come by, though I'm glad it was as cheap as it was. $50 for 6 pieces is DIRT CHEAP when it comes to flamenco music. That's what my teacher said, anyway, so he said it was a fantastic buy.

FYI, Gerardo Nunez is the guy in my sig.

There are six pieces in the collection... here are the two of them, both Bulerias form

http://media.putfile.com/Jucal
http://media.putfile.com/Trafalgar

I am as excited as hell, especially to learn the two above. They're my favorites. <3 Jucal and Trafalgar are both Bulerias form, by the way, though it's way more evident in Jucal... So you could say Jucal is more "cante hondo" than Trafalgar, with cante hondo meaning more traditional. Though they're all fantastic pieces, of course, and I actually prefer more modern flamenco.

Of course, saying Jucal's not modern is atrocious. It's a perfect fusion of modern and classic Bulerias.

^_^

Some times I think the beats are slow... But then again... There's a high chance I can't hear it all...

Good for you.

I've heard the first one.
Woah, you've heard it before? Where?
You tube. I dunno. maybe... Got a ]
Ah, I see. But man, the guy's positively talented. Not only is it a technical achievement of epic proportions, but to make something so musically well-developed and have everything stewed in traditional rhythm is just... wow. It's unbelievably hard to write flamenco music, I've tried and failed.

But uhm... I digress. 0_O;;;

Edit - Oh yeah, you must've seen this!

Ah, Tomatito. That guy's pretty good too, but you must've confused Jucal with this piece because both are Bulerias', and thus the rhythmical parts are the same. It's what makes a Bulerias a, well, Bulerias.

Yeah, that's what makes individual Bulerias'.

Hah, I wish! A flamenco band would be uber-cool. Some people doing the palmas (hand-clapping) routine, someone else on another guitar... Man... That would be INSANELY awesome. Though, of course, my bro plays flute, so we sometimes have some duets.

But a full-fledged flamenco band would own unbelievably.

You should form a band. [No-brainer, but never the less hard.]

You could probably get someone to at least clap... But they would need to FAST.

Yeah, you know, hand-clapping is harder than most think. It requires EXTREMELY precise rhythm and, of course, knowledge of the flamenco rhythm itself. When they have two people clapping, it sounds awesome because one of the people claps on the beat, and the claps OFF the beat... so it sounds like one person is clapping really fast, when it's actually two people.
