Gaaah, felt I needed to vent on here, literally Paula pinged me like two days ago saying she was all for leaving and I was so happy and then just now out of nowhere she completely changed her mind after deciding and I qoute 'oh no, this is bad, I think I forgot to do something, sorry dude looks like I you will have to put up with me for a bit longer', my jaw dropped at this mad revelation, I was so eager to see her gone, and now she could be here for another month! Damn it Paula, nobody in Abydos likes you!! I know the frustrations of other members now when I hear their stories about having villagers ping then change their minds! Incredibly frustrating.

This happened to me with Syliva. I wanted to die when she changed her mind. I really truly felt as though the Animal Crossing creators overheard me talking smack about her and had her decide to move out... they overheard the party I threw that she was leaving and then BAM... they decided to not have her leave.

I was SO mad.

I'm telling you... it's like they know.

As soon as a villager I want gone pings me to move out, the first thing I do it TT to their moving date. ._.
What you just described happened to me SO many times when trying to move out villagers to get my dreamies. I was just like, forget it. I'm done. Out with you.

^ haha! I do the same. But that is so frustrating. It's always the ones you can't stand that wanna stay the longest and decided to stay after they ping you. Wart Jr and Canberra did this to me!

I hate when villagers do that. I find that uchi villagers do it frequently, and also villagers you never became close to. Everytime that happens to me I quit and just ignore the ping.

I adore Paula. She has been in every NL town I have ever had. But yes, if you want to assure a villager will move, after they alert you to their move date, time travel to that date or one day beyond. If you don't time travel, then simply do not speak to them again after they ping to move. Good luck, sweetie

Mitzi did that to me! She pinged me to tell me the date she was moving out. The next day I decided to risk it and talk to her once, but she didn't mention having second thoughts at all. When I got to the date she said she was moving out she was still there!! I was SO FRUSTRATED when I saw she wasn't in boxes. Sorry, Mitzi, but I never really liked you.

From that experience, I've just decided to tt straight to the moving out date, because I don't want that to happen again.

Well looks like I will have to give her a second chance and thank you I chose to name my town after the name of a planet in Stargate SG1, which does infact borrow that name from ancient Egypt

Paula is one of the most underrated NL villagers of all time. Who else can wear an eighties headband with metallic blue eyeshadow and look so stunning? Nobody but Paula, that's who! She is also warm, funny, charming and loyal. She is a winner in my eyes and I adore her

I was so desperate for a villager to leave, she pinged me after a short time, I was elated, and then she said ha ha it's a joke. Then I think it took another 3 months and she pinged my 2nd character. The day after I was playing with my mayor, she pinged to say she changed her mind!! I didn't know they could do that. grrrrr. I closed without saving and she was gone the next day. I save often when I play so I can just close the game at anytime and I don't lose much.

Yeah I think Paula, Celia (she is sooo pretty, the only nice eagle!) Gala (that pink crocodile! A--PINK--CROCODILE!!!) Kidd (the purple smug goat with the little vest!)
LIONEL (just look at him, look at him---the only middle-aged smug that is a Lion with snow-white hair! and his house is classy & full of swagger! A SMUG LION!)
Recently I had Phil move in...NO ONE TOLD ME HIS HOUSE WAS THAT NICE LOOKING & THAT HE HAS STEEP HILL PLAYING! or that he was such a cool guy!
Drago..the ONLY dragon is not nearly as rated as Julian or Phoebe (other one-of-a-kind-types) & Savannah...the ONLY ZEBRA!

Anyway there are plenty of villagers I like, but understand why they aren't noticed. (like Wart Jr because I get that some find him ugly & he isn't conventionally cute.)
But the ones I mentioned above, especially Celia, are actually quite pretty/unique/cool looking, and it completely confuses me they are so low on the tier lists.
