Nook's Homes is shut, I can't save!

So, I just restarted my town.
You have to go to Nook's Homes to get the price of the upgrading thing (10,000 bells.) But it is locked as it is too late.
As you can't save until you talk to him, I cant change the time or anything without losing my new town.
I was wondering if any of you know how to fix this?

You could keep your game in sleep mode until the store opens again?

wow i've never heard of this happening.
i always figured that if this happened, that the tutorial would hold the shops open past close to prevent things like this.

only think i can think to do is plug in your ds, place it in a safe place and leave it on for the next x amount of hours until the shops open. unless you're willing to lose your town's start.

I never knew this could happen, I thought once you get the tent put down you'd be able to save? isn't that the case? i'm very confused. Have you tried saving? I guess you could time travel to open his store again, but that's probably not a choice for you. Good luck though, on waiting for his store to reopen. I didn't know this was a thing, honestly.

I'm pretty sure that once you have a tent then talk to Isabelle to finish registering as mayor you will be able to save.

No, when you press start before going to Nook's Homes for the second time it says 'you can't save right now.'
I had no idea it was a thing either, I would've thought the creators would've made it so it wouldn't shut.

But isn't the game saved when you go to tell Isabelle that your tent's been put up? That's so weird. I never knew that could happen.

i'm sure after you've placed the tent, you go to town hall, speak to isabelle, and then do the tree ceremony. after that you should be able to save?

Ah i'm glad you managed to find the problem though, I was so confused haha on how this could happen to you LOL. No worries though, everybody makes mistakes.
