Nookingtons

Hi. I was wondering how you obtain Nookingtons in this game. I am finding so many mixed answers online I just don't know what to believe anymore. So I thought I ask some animal crossing veterans. So do you have to spend 240,000 bells for it to expand or do you also have to have someone from another town come visit and buy something. I know this was the case for Wild World.

I apologize if there is another thread about this. I didn't look.

Nookingtoons is pretty cool in ACGC, much better than ACCF.

How do you get it in Gamecube? I had the game a long time and I never got it... Also, can you go to the GC island without a gamboy?

I managed to get to the island in GC via emulator for the GameCube and Gameboy. Quite a challenge, that was.
