nook stop terminal probs

you know the nook stop terminal that's in the town hall/whatever the building is called in this game? you check it every day, you're supposed to build up free nook miles just for checking in (7+ days gets you around 300 miles i think).

i've noticed that the terminal never keeps track of my streak for checking it. i started a new island at the beginning of august, played for around 5 days and then stopped for about a month. last week, i started playing again. the first day i began playing, the terminal gave me nook miles for a 4 day streak. i thought this was weird, but i kept going. the next day, the town hall remodeled. i checked again and it gave me the miles for a 7+ day streak. again, weird.

now for the past 4 or 5 days, it's only giving me the 50 miles for the "day 1" streak, even though i've been checking every day. has anyone else had this issue? do you think it's just where i've gone so long without playing & it'll take a few days to straighten out, or is there something bigger going on here?

Did you time travel? I think that will mess it up.

if you miss a day of checking in at the terminal or time travel, it'll reset the streak unfortunately

Do you play in co-op mode? I’ve found that if you check the terminal for the first time in co-op mode, it doesn’t seem to register for the streak

I don't know about the part where your 4 day streak kept going despite not playing for a month. About the town hall remodeling, however, I recall that the nook stop tells you that they've apologized for any inconvenience it has caused and decided to immediately give you a 7 day streak bonus, regardless of the progress of your streak prior to remodeling.

I thought the game tended to keep track of whether you checked in if you booted up the game, so days when you didn't play the game wouldn't count towards the streak or interrupt it. No idea!

I thought it only kept count if you accessed it to log in everyday ? and it would loose the daily score if you did not check or time travelled?

I'm pretty sure you have to play every day or lose the streak, since my 2nd character doesn't get used as often so she is frequenty back to 0. That is a weird glitch maybe.

i’ve been keeping track this week and i skipped from day 3 to day 5 between two days of playing.

not really sure what’s happening.
