Nook Miles Your vs. Campsite. What would you do?

So, I've run into a bit of a dilemma..

My town has 9 residents right now. Tangy is staying at my campsite. Before just taking her, I decided to buy 5 NMT to villager hunt for whomever. On my 5th ticket, I found Julian.

I don't have a Peppy in town right now, and I like but don't LOVE Tangy. I could come to love her maybe? She's cute.

I do love Julian, but unfortunately I also love smug villagers, so he'd be my third. I have Ed and Kyle. I'd eventually get rid of Ed if I picked up Julian... But it'll be a while, since someone just asked to leave.

What would you do?

I am in a similar dilemma. I really want to scan June into the game but she would be my 3rd normal and I already have Aurora and Mitzi, who are going nowhere ever. I’m going to scan her and and decide over 3 days if I truly love her enough to move her in. If I love her, I will. It will disrupt personalities but I could let go of Dom or Raymond tbh. If you fond you love them, move them in. It’s better than having every personality and not caring about a villager. Like you said, Ed can eventually go and it will work out.

If you don't care for Tangy, especially if it's not a love and Julian is...

Take Julian and move out one of your other smugs when the time comes.

Your campsite will generate more peppys if you're missing one but to find Julian again would be a whileee.

You can actually take both now if you don't mind kicking someone. Since you're on an island with Julian, you can ask him to move in and he'll take your empty plot. Then you can go ask Tangy to move in and she'll choose someone to kick out. I've gone island hopping and had a camper and have been able to do both as long as I do the island hopping invite first.

Otherwise, if you love the rest of your villagers, then I say choose whoever you want more. You don't really need every personality type and you can always get a peppy later.

I'd go with Julian since you already have other smugs on your island, thus you chances of him appearing in your campsite is slim to none so you'd have to get lucky on the islands again.
Whereas with Tangy, if you have no peppies, she is more likely to pop up again sometime in the campsite. If you TT then there is a whole method to getting this done quicker.

But... couldn't you just
Invite Julian
Make the 10th plot
Plot will now say Sold and have Julian's name
Now invite Tangy
Tangy will have Resident Services tell her that there are no open plots
Tangy then prompt for you to kick someone out
... and get both?
Never attempted it myself before but theoretically that should work, right?

When you invite Julian and he buys the plot, can't you use Tangy to kick someone else out? I'm not exactly sure how it works, but when the dialogue randomly selects a villager you can close the game and try again iirc.

This is what I keep getting stuck on, haha. It will eventually even out... I just don't know if I'd regret 3 snugs in the meantime...

That's a really good point. Maybe I'll check the list of peppys and see if there's any I like better to aim for as a goal!

I'd take Julian. It'll be better in the long run to have villagers you actually like living on your island since move outs seem to be much more infrequent and random this game.

You guys are geniuses lol. I haven't done a lot with campsites/villager adopting so I never even considered possibly getting both! I'll invite Julian and get tangy to move out Ed
