Nook miles outdoor furniture variations?

Can you get other variations without trading? I don’t yet have switch online and don’t really trade I know you can with nooks cranny furniture but can you with the nook miles furniture such as the playground gym, teacup ride etc? I heard somewhere you can from balloons, villagers and trees but it’s quite rare. Does anyone know? I am so disappointed about this it’s supposed to be creative

The only way to get the other colors is to trade online or locally with a friend/family member.

Yes it's pretty rough Nintendo has a trial online membership.. You can always try it out first.

It's also worth noting that now that we have to pay for online, the services are more subpar. This may change later as more is updated, but right now there isn't any Club Tortimer or mini-games. So visiting islands and friends is more of just getting tours of their place and less about having games to play.

SmashUlt suffered the same fate (in different ways) It's really a headscratcher.
