Woot, last night there was like 60 MPH winds and a -20 windchill and it snowed a few inches, so they called off school, because some of that is still going. And I'm not sure if the school has the best heating...I had to go to the coldest class in the school yesterday then swimming (which was freezing).

Same thing happened here. But school wasn't called off...

Although, here I am, because we can barely get out of the driveway, and it's just WAY too cold. Even in the house.

Gah, I'm sick still...

(3rd day...)

Same. It's times like this when I wish I wasn't homeshcooled.
Haha, tell me about it. It was crazy yesterday (and, in fact, today)... something like -15 windchill or something.

-_- Yeah, we get a lot of days off here in Newfoundland, so no big deal to me. Last year and this year, though... stupid global warming.

We had about 50 MPH wind, and every other school district around us had at least a delay, but my dumb school district made us go...

-20 windchill with 60 mph wind?

We had -40 with only 30 mph wind.... No cancellation.

With my new schedules and my report showing good work I'm actually enjoying school. The only teacher I don't like is my English teacher which gives us way too much homework.

I got a 3.42 GPA this quarter which could have been better. However, comparing it to my GPA of 2.16 a year ago it means a lot to me. I'm also taking harder courses

;)

School doesn't really get canceled here. We get snow but my county is so rich that they can get enough guys to plow all the streets as soon as enough snow gets on the ground.

The people down here in Michigan and Indiana will cancel school for the slightest dusting of snow. When they see real weather, they declare a state of emergency.

I live in Indiana and my school is incredibly stupid. We get half-days over an inch of snow, but when there is three inches of pure ice and another two inches of snow, we still have a full day of school.

:P

It's not like this was just a one-time thing, they do this consistently.
