No Pings At All?

Whoops, hey guys, another thread here. Uhm, I have a bit of a question, and it's NOT about PWPs or moving out! Huzzah! I have a million questions but I don't want to clog the forums.

So, anyway, on my second copy, I have a very nice town with 8/10 dreamies. But, uh... I'm so busy with my main copy that I actually don't play the second all too much. I log on to talk to everyone and do my dailies, and then log off. But here's the weird part.

No one ever... Pings me? No one. Ever. Not for anything. Fang has pinged me once and gave me a nickname that never spread, Sterling pinged me once about something, and Annalisa pinged me once about something. Besides that, Alfonso just pinged to move.

But... Why? Why isn't anyone pinging me, no matter what I do? Do I have to play for hours at a time and get max friendship? It was happening on my third copy as well; as a cycling town, I only talked to them a bit, so they'd ping me to move. But nobody ever pinged me for anything else. Does anyone know anything about this? It's depressing to load up, run around and get no pings from my buddies. ): Is it just that I have to play for longer periods of time? On my main, someone pings me as soon as I load the game up, and my villagers there are always pinging me about something or another (except PWPs). But I spend ungodly amounts of time on that cartridge.

Are the villagers new? Or have they been there awhile? If they're new, it takes a little bit for them to get used to you so they ping you to do tasks and stuff. When Roscoe moved in, it took approximately 5 days for his first ping to me. I think it's why you have to build a good friendship or they need to get used to the town. That's the best I can answer it.

Ah, thank you very much! ;v; Unfortunately, no, they're not new; the town is a month and a half old or so due to TTing. But I do talk to them all multiple times per session... Maybe I'll try buying a megaphone to see the friendship level. :c It might HAVE to be higher. Just kinda sad that nobody pings me for anything omg, I'm so used to it with my first copy.

You'll need to talk to them occasionally or they will just ignore you. If you've been playing for a long while they'll give you the "don't you need to take a break" speech. After that there will be pings again.
