no new items in shops???

Yesterday I got acnl and bought my fishing pole and shovel checked out retail then today I log on and my stores have all the same items! Is this normal? Was really hoping to get my net and sling shot today but I guess not

By same items, do you mean the furniture is the same, or just the tools?

If tools, they're usually the same sometimes but they'll still change.

the first nookling store (nooklings junction), only sells the net, shovel, and fishing rod.

you have to wait for it to upgrade to get the other tools.

If you want a net, talk to Isabelle and she will eventually give you one. I'm pretty sure you can't get a slingshot until nook's upgrades. Nook junction will upgrade once you've bought a lot. So it should take a week or two if you shop there everyday.

The stuff in re-tail stays until you buy it, or you tell a villager to buy it. Someones a villager will put a new item in, but not very often.

Alikat, items will repeat in other shops too. Not a glitch, it's just they REALLY want you to purchase one (or two...). ^_^
