How are the stats for purple pansies, is the game guide also wrong about breeding 2 orange ones?
Sadly yes. You need to breed two red hybrids from a red and a blue pansy. And while they are no where near as hard as the blue roses, I would consider them the second hardest to breed.
If you want to breed hybrids consistently, read this guide from forum member Valerie. Since my post count is so low I can't post the link so search for "How to grow hybrids the Easy Peasy Way: Stop watering so many flowers!!! " on this forum or google.
It completely changed my "luck" with hybrids.
Also as TifanyNL mentioned, use Thonky's page to determine what flowers are need for each hybrid. Again, my post count is low so I can't link but google it and you will find it.
I have a dedicated time traveling gardener. I started my attempt to get blue roses on July 1. I used three dedicated red hybrid rose pairs. I got my first blue rose on November 4th and my second on November 12th. So it took over four months. But the reason I got two so close was I saw on someone?s post about using fertilizer with a golden shovel really increases the chances. So I tried that starting on November 1st on all three pairs. So coincidence or fertilizer and golden shovel, I?m not sure but I really think the later made the difference. With the purple pansies, it took two months with two pairs of the above mentioned to get both the purple pansies needed for more breeding. I didn?t use fertilizer on those so it may be much faster with it.
I hope this helps and keep trying, you will get them.
