Nintendo kind of has a bad reputation of having towns that look unfinished and bad. Ninten and the Japanese verision of towns in NL were not very good. I visited them both through the dream suite and I was highly disappointed, so I never had high expectations for their town in NH. Cool that Punchy's there, though. He's a cool cat.

It makes sense. Doesn't want to give us pressure to make islands look beautiful. A majority of players have unfinished islands. I'd like to think that the cottage core islands are not the norm.

Nintendo’s island is definitely the norm. Most players have unfinished and/or messy islands. They’re going at it at their own pace which is nice.

Very likely once the Mario themed items drop, we’ll see lots more decor.

It did indeed . I was very happy to see Puddles there as well; she was another of my favorites in NL. But, of course, Punchy will always be number one to me (unless they make a lazy female cat that looks like my tabby cat and with just as good expressions ).

But yeah, for an official Nintendo island, people come with high expectations. And with the game being out for 8 months, the island should've been heavily developed. I seriously hope it's a WIP.
