Nintendo Zone items

I need help! I have no idea how to receive any NZ items that I receive letters from. Could somebody tell me how? Thanks a lot!

You have to get connected to a Nintendo Zone and receive it from there. The NZ app on your 3DS notifies you when you're at one, they're usually at participating stores, restaurants and airports~

I asked this yesterday as I want topknot wigs for each town but not sure I can drive out today, anyone know of a way if your cellphone has that code from like a best buy to get it from home or what spots I'd have to drive to, how close to get? I have to change out carts so doing it in store may look strange not sure what the no wifi connect code is I think I have it in my phone from trying to find wifi once in the car.
