Is Nintendo's WFC comparable to other system's online play. Well, first of all, it's a great start for nintendo in online. I've never played online (besides PC) so, I can't really talk about PS2 and Xbox online...just think...what would MKDS, AC:WW be without wifi? MKDS...well...would've gotten boring so quickly, and so would AC:WW. Because ACWW is all about meeting people and going to other people's towns, well some other stuff, like 1 player, but we're talking about ACWW not AC...

Just face it, Nintendo, would be way under Sony and Microsoft right now in the video game business. MKDS and AC:WW have just boosted Nintendo's overall rating. I mean, I bet there are some people out there who only have one Nintendo system, DS, because of Nintendo WFC. WFC really, well, saved Nintendo, because Nintendo has not been the best in game market (between sony and microsoft).

The thing is, why didn't Nintendo, somehow, put WFC on the Gamecube? Idk why, because I bet PS2 and Xbox had it by then (i'm pretty sure they did...), Nintendo would be probably the best video game company, in sales and popularity right now if they had WFC on the Gamecube. Imagine, playing Metroid prime with othre people (probably going to be like MP:H) or even a Mario Party Online option, that would've been endless! Well, at least nintendo got into the online scene now instead of never. I'm glad that they did.

So, would you rather use the other systems old online or Nintendo's new found WFC? Also, maybe, with the Revolution, Nintendo will make a whole new aspect to online gaming, who knows?

Well, me being a Nintendo fan...I would use nintendo's wfc, but it is kinda slow, like compared to playing a PC online game.

Well I admit it worked for ACWW but I hope they change it for the Rev a bit.

they need the ability to talk to others over it, if rumors are true MPH will have that,
and also you should be ableto play others without a friend code, I find that it is a little annoying, although then there should be a blocking feature as well as a friend list to either keeep in touch with peeps or keep them away lol

Yeah, I don't think online has that, hopefully Nintendo takes online gaming to another level. I don't know how Nintendo would do that though...

I haven't tried AC:WW wi-fi but it is still lots of fun!

And a MP with wi-fi would be SO much fun! I don't think I could stop!

Very good points. I agree with you entirely on the point you made about WFC giving Nintendo a boost. But I'm pretty sure they didn't release it for the Gamecube because the Gamecube sold the least number of systems, PLUS XBox and PS2 had it, which would have made Nintendo look like a COMPLETE and utter copycat. I've seen Attack of the Show before, and I know XBox Live gets pretty, well, glitchy when many people are on. Maybe Nintendo would have had that problem with the Gamecube, too. Getting back to the point, Nintendo Wi-fi owns.

I would totally think this thread is worthy of winning the post of the week.
