According to announcement on Shogakukan's Ciao magazine's website, a new manga called "Atsumare Dōbutsu no Mori: Nonbiri Shima Dayori" (Gather Animal Forest: Leisurely Island News) by Minori Katō is coming in December. It follows a character named Hana as she lives on a deserted island.

Is this some sort of crossover between them? Either way, it sounds interesting in the slightest but I doubt there's gonna be any groundbreaking stuff related to New Horizons.

Is this actually going to be ACNH-related? Or is the plot just similar to the premise of ACNH and that's it? Sorry, I'm not really into manga and I don't know how this stuff works.

That's what I would like to know too. While I do read here and there manga, my knowledge about them in general is not the best. Also wondering if it will coming out outside of Japan one day or if it's going to stay an Japan exclusive. Otherwise, it sounds interesting so far.

Considering the promotional image shows Nook and the Nooklings in their ACNH outfits, it's called "Leisurely Island News", and the premise involves a deserted island, I'd say that's enough to consider it being based off NH> Naturally, being a manga, I'm sure it'll take its own liberties, but it seems a lot like it's going to be based off or inspired by NH.

I saw a short article on my Google feed about it a little while ago. Does anybody have an idea of the likelihood it'll be translated into English? It sounds like a cute read.

Got it, thank you!

A fan or fan group might do it, but the big groups probably won't unless requested by their supporters. Viz sometimes pics up Nintendo manga, so if it gets popular in Japan, they might.

Ah! Thanks for the response! I really hope they pick up enough support for an official translation then. I may end up reading a fan-done one though, if not.

Whoa dude that looks so interesting... I've never read an AC manga before but I have seen the anime which is really cute tbh. They should make a NH anime too! That would so cool!

So having finally gotten to see what the first chapter of the manga holds, I can only describe it as an "Isekai".

Hana wins a vacation from a Japanese lottery and meets Timmy and Tommy. She follows them through a hole, and winds up in the world of Animal Crossing. She meets Tom Nook and he tells her she's on a deserted island.

Chapter 2 should be in the next issue next week, so we'll see if it shows anything.
