New Zelda Wii Leaked Information/Rumors

More rumors from 2chan.

* Link will be replacing the bow and arrow with a crossbow.
* Game is all but finished. Putting on final touches.
* There will be a playable demo at E3.
* Time travel does occur and it happens through the use of a new blade. (not the master sword)
* Link's hometown is much bigger than in previous titles.
* There will be several "Majora's Mask" esque sidequests.
* Character interaction will be more involving than in any previous title.
* The dungeon field dungeon method is changed, and one of the changes confirms a straight dungeon to dungeon portion of the game.
* The current name of the girl in the picture is Adelle.
* Combat is extremely fluent and innovative. No previous Wii title can give you a good example of it's unique style.
* The game relies heavily on sword combat versus other items.
* There will be less items, but they will be used more frequently.
* There will be another main weapon added for an alternative combat style.
* The game will feature significant portions of flight.

Dunno if I believe these or not. Though 2ch rumors tend to be true a lot of the time, you can't trust them every single time. I'm not buying the fact that they've replaced the bow with a crossbow.

Why not? I'd expect the crossbow to show up sometime soon in a Zelda game because of Link's Crossbow Training. That'd be a good excuse for Nintendo to get people to buy some Wii Zappers if they haven't already.

Why not? I'd expect the crossbow to show up sometime soon in a Zelda game because of ]Link having a crossbow is one thing, but Link having a crossbow in place of a bow...I just can't see that happening. Maybe if the crossbow was an upgrade to the bow later in the game, but not a complete replacement for it...

I'm glad that there will be a lot of changes. Zelda seemed to be getting really dry there for a while, and all the games had very similar stories. Since this one is different, it might even attract a lot of new Zelda fans. I can't wait to see how this game will turn out! So excited.
