New villagers

I have agreed to take in 2 new villagers today. I was told if you accept two villagers in one day the first one wouldn't arrive. So I accepted one villager and then time traveled and I'm about to time travel do I can accept the other. I really didn't want to time travel so I think I'm going to tt back two days after my villagers are in. If I do that will my villagers move out?

If you accept both on the same day then the 2nd one will override the 1st one. I'm pretty sure if you time skip to where there is a plot of the first villager then go get the other villager it will be fine and you will get both.
