New town ideas~

I'm planning to start a separate game file on acnl soon, but I have no idea how to decorate houses in a new theme.
My current town has quite a cutesy theme and so does my mayor.
I want the new town to be quite natural and woodsy, sort of an ancient Japan kind of feel??
If anyone could recommend any tips on how to landscape the town or furniture that would fit well with the theme i'm going for, I'd really appreciate it.
Starting a new game file takes so much time, effort and can be really frustrating but I'm so motivated and excited to start the new town

For landscaping, I'd use stone paths, clovers, mushrooms, and white flowers.
Maybe lots of greenery and use Zen PWP.

I'd do a lot of natural things for the outside part of your town. I think it'd be really refreshing.

Definitely make use of bamboo for your landscaping. It looks great fully grown or cut. Plus, it looks different if you cut it during different stages of growth, so you can get a lot of variety out of it. It can get out of hand if you let it grow wild, but you can contain it by surrounding it with flowers, bushes, trees, or patterns.

There are lots of nice Zen PWPs and the wooden bridge, bus stop, hot spring, stone tablet, and rack of rice PWPs work as well.
