New to AC:NH

Hello all! I am very new to AC, as I just played this game for the first time a few months ago, I am still trying to figure everything out. I am currently trying to figure out how to visit others islands so I can find different fruit as I have peach, coconut, and pears and would like to find others. Also trying to figure out how to get my rating up to 5 stars it seems like it takes a lot as I am getting not at 2 stars. Any help would be great!

You may have to trade for the remaining fruit, as the Nook Miles islands only give you your native fruit, coconuts, and a sister (secondary native) fruit.

You could probably get fruit for free if you go to the Nook's Cranny forum. I wouldn't mind helping you with the rest, but I don't have my Switch on at the moment. To get a 5 star rating, talk to Isabelle and see what she wants you to do with your island. I personally never went to her for advice. I just placed furniture and flowers around the island. You need to upgrade Nook's Cranny, have a Museum, have a campsite, and probably put more trees up or take a few down.

As to the 5-star island question, that's a long, slow dance with Isabelle.

Maybe you already know this, but just making sure, you also need to make sure you have a current Nintendo Switch Online subscription if you want to visit or have visitors via the internet. Without the subscription, you're limited to local wireless only, which means the other person's Switch needs to be in the same room as you in person for you to connect with them.

Thanks everyone this helps, I didn’t know they only give u a few fruits, and I do have the internet but everytime I try to visit and online island it says oh, drumsticks.... I’m still trying to figure out where I would find my dodo code. I am so happy to of found this forum!

Do you still need fruit? I can come over and drop them off. To get a Dodo Code, tell Orville the following:

To get a 5 star rating easily I suggest to not sweat over it. Personally, I didn’t check Isabelle often if o got a 5 star rating, I just changed my island flag and clicked on island evals and she said I got a 5 star island! My advice is to just go with the flow and to not overthink it. The first time I wanted to do a project I was hesitant because I thought the end product would look horrible xD
