New to AC. Looking for inspirational towns to visit and non-native fruit

I'm new to Animal Crossing New Leaf but I did play the old Animal Crossing on the DS.

My town is only a few days old and I've just paid off my first home loan today so there is very little unlocked.

I'd love to visit some older towns to get some inspiration as to what I can do in the game. I'm also looking for fruit (not perfect, just fruit to plant!).

My native fruit is peaches and Isabelle gave me cherries which I have planted (but yet to bear fruit).

I've got little to offer in return unless you would like some peaches!

I promise to never run in your towns, never to pick flowers and the only thing I will ever take is a few non-perfect fruits (I'll only shake one tree and take three). If I catch bugs / fish in your town I'll check to see if they are in your museum and if not I'll donate them. I'm happy to abide by any town rules and will send your villagers a few letters which they will hopefully show you.

If you do, please excuse the mess with flowers everywhere, haha. My town is still a work in progress. You are welcome to take home some fruits with you, however many you want. My native fruit is apples
