New player, looking for friends

Hey there, I joined here recently in hopes to find someone to hang out, spend time together and relax while playing.

I started my town this week as well so its fairly fresh and not yet developed, been enjoying it so far. A side note - This is my first AC game and I maybe unfamiliar of the features and terms that appear further into it.

I don't have much online experience in AC either, I read that you can make best friends and be able to socialize in game anytime. If anyone is interested in that, it would be great to have someone to talk to. (If people still use this feature)

My time is EST (Canada), I'm casual and laid back. I have an interest in roleplay and I usually RP in game with my villagers haha, it would be fun to RP with others.

Also I'm unaware how people get together to play. I figure being best friends in game we can let each other know we're free and talk, so I plan on doing that.

Does everyone use PM to notify others, or another messenger? Sorry, I'm just figuring it out as I'm new and haven't used forums like this before.

I'm fairly new to the game as well but just starting to get the grips of some things with a few handy guides and sites.

For communications some people (myself included) use Discord for setting up group chats and pm's and the like. I'll grab the discord invite urls and PM them to you.
