New Leaf: What could have been

Before New Leaf was released in Japan, early screenshots were all over the place. I was wondering, how different would the game be for you if these designs were kept how they originally were.

It looks like the players were able to hang out with Isabelle outside of picking PWPs and in the town office. That would have been awesome...I feel like I only see her when I'm logging in.

I like the little steps leading up to the villagers' doors. It's a small detail, but it's cute! Too bad they didn't keep that. And the stone around the PWPs is nice too. o:

I totally agree with all this! The little steps would've been so cute! And the stone accent around PWPs is darling.

also no; shes following them, so its most likely them going to do a PWP. :/

Honestly, the first time I saw those screenshots, I was highly dissappointed. Especially with the trees, I thought they were just plain awful. I wouldn't have minded the cobblestone around the PWP's, but only if it looked better than those pictures.

Little steps would be adorable! Especially since we can't place any ourselves! I hate that I have dirt patches in front of my villagers homes and I can't hide it! Seeing Isabelle more often would be wondrous! c=

Heh, I originally read that as "little shops," and imagined a villager doing a port expansion on his house to sell wares.
