Anyone seen that cat that looks like wood in the game yet? I saw 1 photo and never heard anything again... Or even its name...

Never seen the wooden cat before. I don't have the game, so IDK, but I haven't seen it on the wiki or anywhere else.

That's from monster hunter and it's a DLC for Japan.

I hope we get the monster hunter cat and 7/11 horse, but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't.

The wooden cat looks like an unfinished puppet or something, really unsettling. I feel like its not a character but maybe a glitch. It just doesnt look finished. Idk the same could probably be said about several villagers so who knows xD

I've heard that the cat is used as a placeholder when you're replacing or inviting animals over via Amiibo cards. There's a screenshot of it being used that way. It's not a new villager or anything.

I think it's like the default for before they put the villager coding in... I might have seen it before??? i think its like the base for the villager... dont quote me though.

I like the new cats however we already had more than enough in acnl (22 villagers and 3 special characters).I think they should've reserved this space for different species
