Do you guys think it's worth the upgrade, as I currently have tge normal 3DS XL, and it's working fine. However, I've been wantin to try out Xenoblade ever since Chuggaaconroy's LP of it.

If that's your only reason for upgrading I wouldn't recommend it. Your old 3DS still works fine, and a lot of reviewers have stated that XC3D isn't the greatest port around. The graphics downscaling is also a huge drawback. There's no extra content either from what I know, so it's the exact same thing you'd play on the Wii. So play on the Wii or wait for it to be released on the Wii U eShop (lol, as if).

I personally really like it. The 3D is so different (in that it works without me having to hold my hands still, at all. On a moving bus). But things just load faster. Even with my crappy internet I downloaded AC:NL very quickly, and the Smash load times are cut so much.

That, and I like themes, and this new one doesn't lag them the way the normal ones do.

There's a lot more, but I'm feeling a bit off today so thinking is a bit of an effort.

I think it's worthy in general, depending if you buy games and download them from eshop a lot and games that demands Internet connections, it's faster. I was lucky to get the New Majora's Mask edition(mostly got it because hey somewhat LE) but I would probably had gotten a normal one as well.

I like the bigger screens and to me the touchscreens seems way better but might be me.

Depends what you're using it for.

I 'personally' don't see the point.
- I stick to physical copies where possible, so downloads aren't an issue for me.
- I've always hated 3D effects, so no matter what they do with that it's never going to appeal to me.
- There's very few games where you really need the c-stick, Kid Icarus Uprising being one of them, Monster Hunter 4 being debatable.
- I don't see the 'faster load times' as a worthwhile thing either. I mean seriously, the only 3DS game I've ever complained about load times with is Smash 3DS's initial startup, everything else is almost instant anyway. It's not like the home menu takes that long to load up either...
- It better internet connection which makes downloads faster but as I said, I stick to physical copies almost 100%. For online play, I've never had an issue with my 3DS.

So really, my answer depends on whether any of that applies to you and what you personally think. I do want one to play Xenoblade since the Wii version isn't really an option (?60-?70? No thanks) but I don't personally see the worth of the new 3DS until more games come out where I need the new 3DS. Faster loading times, a c-stick that is necessary in like 2 games or better internet speeds on downloads aren't worth ?200 in my opinion, they're more like bonus features that come along with the console rather than being reasons to buy it (IMO).

Yeah, as I said I mostly got it because I've liked LoZ games for a long time, and I wanted to try OR/AS since I wanted to get back into Pok?mon. Could have gotten a cheaper but yeah I can afford it and it looks gorgeous.

While due to region-locking we don't have a lot of games it sometimes feel somewhat waste-y, but yeah cool design and MM is good game so why not.

Plus the other 3ds and XL that are not part of the "New" family here is ugly, you can't get other LE much here.

Honestly I'd say if you already have a 3DS XL, not really worth an upgrade.

Don't get me wrong, I bought one and love it, but that's only because I only had a regular 3DS so the screen upgrade was something I had been planning anyways. Also I have an obsession with Zelda consoles ;-; So I'm not trying to knock it, but for the differences, I wouldn't have bothered if I already had an XL. The c-stick is rarely used, the stable 3D is nice but a lot of people (like myself) don't even like to use the 3D anyways, and otherwise I find the build quality a little lesser? Like the d-pad is kind of loose on mine and the materials just look a little cheaper than the original (I'm comparing this to the old 3DS though, I don't know what the old XL is like).

I look at it this way. If you;

don't have a 3DS: buy it
have a non-XL 3DS: maybe
have an XL: don't bother

But hey, if you want one go for it. If you download a lot of games, use 3D a lot, etc it might be worth it to you personally. But if I were you (and if you have a Wii), I'd just get the original Xenoblade.

It's not worth the upgrade if you're using the 3DS XL. My friend recently bought it and he was so disappointed with it.

If you just want it for Xenoblade, don't get it, but if you want it for all of the upgrades and those things, it may be worth it. :)
