Negative Effects for Time Traveling Back to the Wedding?

I bought the game after the Wedding event & the Cherry Blossom event.

If I time travel back to those to participate, (since those events are a week long each right?), will it negatively effect my town or villagers when I come back to my correct time/date?

I'm concerned going back so far, and staying so long, (the whole week), might be problematic?

*I wouldn't have turnips to spoil & I don't care about weeds.

It's fine! I do that too
I missed the wedding season, so I time traveled back and forth so I can participate and have the wedding items
Your villagers will worry about you cause you've been out for months (after you come to present time)

No there will be no repercussions if you TT backwards to May/June for a week or so, and then forwards to the present date. The only thing that will happen is your villagers will ask where you were or make comments about your sudden disappearance, but theoretically it should not have an effect on your friendship levels (according to dataminers).

This is very useful. I was lazy about the wedding event and didn't realize there was more to get, and I was so afraid of traveling back and losing any villagers. T.T I'm really glad that's not an issue!!

Time traveling itself wont affect your game and it's a valid way to go back to events you missed out on. However, if you are a stickler for getting Nook Miles stamp cards in perfect order, time traveling could mess up the order in which you receive these. Normally something like this wouldn't bother me, since I was a huge time traveler in New Leaf. I'm not that big on time traveling in this new game but I did do it a couple times to move buildings around. I was really annoyed when I fulfilled the "100 days on the island" stamp on a date that was obviously not 100 days later, because I was time traveling back and forth and the game registered it as such. So if this is something that would annoy you, just keep in mind that you can still fulfil things like trashed tools, critters caught, etc. if you play your game normally, but it would register the stamp on the earlier date and might mess up your stamp card order. You can avoid most of these by just doing the event you time traveled for so you don't update your progression on anything else. But it would still mess up the number of days spent on your island.

Thank you. I didn't even know there was a 100 day reward! lol
