Needing Town Suggestions!

Hi everyone! Next month, November, I will be one year older than I am today. My main gift: Nitendo 3DS and AC: NL. And I'm already planning my town XD

Basically, I want suggestions for town theme and town names. I know that November 16th is still a long wait from now, but I want to start early so I have an idea of what my town will look like. Thanks in advance!

PS: I may need name suggestions for my mayor, who will be a girl.

It all depends on what you want your town to be like really. Do you have a certain theme in mind or are you just winging it?

Thank you! Im really aimed for a very calm, peaceful theme. How to word it...Well, a tranquil town of some sort.

Maybe have like a Halloween theme? You can call it something like haunted hollows (even though it probably won't fit XD)
You can call your character something like moon (like a werewolf) or fang (like a vampire) after all, you can get monster masks in October, but when u get the game you can time travel back to October to get them

For a tranquil town, you could name it Heiwa, which means "peace" in Japanese.


As for a mayor name, how about Kalm? It's "calm" in Dutch.

You could do Serenity, Tranquil (lol), Seion, or Heiwana for a town name.

@Fruzzling, "kalm" is actually calm in Dutch. Pretty close though
Do you really want an all-time theme for your town or would you like to change it from time to time? If you call your town/character something that matches the theme and you don't like the theme anymore, you'll be stuck with the name. But if you choose something natural, you can change themes if you want to.

I hate my first name so I use my middle name for all my gaming characters. (Fire Emblem Awakening, Pokemon, ACNL, etc.) I've seen people use nicknames or things they wish they could be named, or even favorite fictional characters!
For my town name (Iwatobi), I asked my friends for help. We were watching the first episode of the anime "Free" and one of them suggested Iwatobi, which is the town where the main characters come from. So you could always take something from your favorite book, movie, show, etc.
I'm seeing people suggest foreign words to you and that also seems to be a good idea. Just make sure that the foreign words are absolutely accurate before you set anything in stone!
